Description:

Health for Tanita allows users to access the health metrics stored in MyTanita with ease. By logging in with their Tanita credentials, users can instantly access all their health metrics uploaded from the Tanita weighing scale on their iPhone or iPad.

For those without a Tanita account or a scale that integrates with Tanita, there is still a solution. If you own a scale that provides body composition metrics, you can manually enter them into the Health for Tanita app for local storage.

<ul>
 <li>For users with a Tanita BC-1000 or a similar connected scale uploading metrics to MyTanita.com:</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Connect Health for Tanita to MyTanita using your MyTanita credentials in Settings</li>
 <li>Download your Tanita metrics from MyTanita.com</li>
 </ul>
</ul>

<ul>
 <li>For users with a Tanita BC-601 or a similar scale without external connectivity:</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Retrieve data from the SD card in the scale (possibly using a WiFi-enabled SD card) and store it in a cloud account like Apple iCloud, DropBox, OneDrive, etc.</li>
 <li>Select the "Store Local Data" option in Settings</li>
 <li>Import data from the cloud location using the "Import external data" feature</li>
 </ul>
</ul>

<ul>
 <li>For those without their own biometric scale but with access to one (e.g., in a gym):</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Select the "Store Local Data" option in Settings</li>
 <li>Manually enter your metric values</li>
 </ul>
</ul>

The supported metrics include weight, body fat, body water, bone mass, muscle mass, physique rating, visceral fat, metabolic age, and caloric intake.

 <li>The app offers features such as:</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Displaying detailed current health metrics</li>
 <li>Showcasing intuitive graphs for weight, body fat, and BMI</li>
 <li>Rendering health metrics graphs as Area or Line graphs</li>
 <li>Exporting all health data to a CSV file</li>
 <li>Sending FIT files for manually entered data via email or iCloud</li>
 <li>Color-coding health metrics based on industry guidelines</li>
 <li>Extensive statistics indicating high, low, and current values over various metrics and time periods</li>
 <li>Backup and Restore functionality for local data via iCloud</li>
 <li>Importing Tanita data from external sources like DropBox, iCloud, etc.</li>
 </ul>
